Prep round up: Andalusia falls at Enterprise

Andalusia narrowly defeated Enterprise Friday night, but lost 61-53 to the Class 6A team.

Phillip James, Kendarius Townsend and Montel Lee finished in double figures for the Bulldogs.

James led with 16 points; Townsend had 14; and Lee chipped in 11 points.

Enterprise’s Maurice Murphy led the Wildcats with 23 points.

In B-team action, the Bulldogs fell 40-28.

Andalusia hosts Hillcrest-Evergreen on Tuesday night to start Class 4A, Area 2 action.

Red Level boys 43, Opp boys 40

Spencer Stallworth led the Tigers with 10 points in a defensive effort last night. Chavis Crittenden chipped in nine point for RLS.

Opp’s JaKeith Edwards and Orlando Lacey had 10 points each.

In girls action, the Lady Bobcats defeated Red Level 47-29.

Saquaya Lane led OHS with 26 points; Asia Edwards had 13 points; and Anna Davis scored eight points.

Red Level’s Kayla Hinson and Shelby Holley had 12 and 10 points, respectively.

In B-team action, Opp trounced Red Level 38-9.

Greg House had 12 points to lead OHS. Evan King scored eight points, and Tramequez Lane chipped in seven.

Opp will be back in action today at Providence Christian School in Dothan. Tip off is at 3 p.m. with the B-team.

Straughn wins

Straughn’s boys and girls swept Daleville in varsity action.

The Tigers won 49-43, while the girls won 42-26.

SHS travels to Southside Selma to continue Class 3A, Area 2 action on Tuesday.
