Straughn finished 1-2 at the 2014 Butch Youmans Memorial Tournament.

The Tigers defeated Elba 10-8 in extra innings, and lost 7-2 to Brewbaker Tech in their final game on Tuesday.

Against the Rams, Lane Sirmon went 1-for-4 with a double; Keith Edgar went 1-for-3 with a double; Brennan Head went 2-for-3; and Beau Spivey went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a double to lead SHS.

Spivey went three innings and gave up five runs.

Straughn’s Johnny Owens went 2-for-5 with three RBIs to help lead the Tigers past Elba.

Sirmon and Taylor Messick went 2-for-4 each; Edgar went 2-for-5; Shane Jones went 1-for-4 with an RBI; and Head went 1-for-4 with an RBI.
