Red Level held top-ranked Brantley to one touchdown in the second half, but the Tigers fell 47-0 on Friday night in region action.

At halftime, the Bulldogs led 40-0.

“We moved the ball better in the second half,” RLS head football coach David Godwin said. “We executed plays a little bit better. We kept the ball out of their hands.”

Godwin said Brantley hit the Tigers with big passing plays in the first half, which gave the Bulldogs such a healthy lead.

With this loss, the Tigers extend their losing streak to 29 straight games before heading into a mid-season showdown at home against J.F. Shields for homecoming next week.

“We played hard for four quarters,” Godwin said. “We’re looking forward to next week. I think our kids will regroup and be ready for Friday night.”

In other action, Pleasant Home lost 41-0 to Kinston. Florala beat McIntosh in a 20-0 shutout.
