There was a wee bit of excitement at Thursday night’s Chamber of Commerce banquet when a small fire started at the table of Councilman Kennith Mount, Councilwoman Hazel Griffin and Councilman Ralph Wells. Mount tried to quietly extinguish the burlap fire, but when it continued to smolder, Wells doused it with iced tea.
