The Opp Lady Bobcats junior varsity cruised to a 15-1 victory of the Andalusia Lady Bulldogs Tuesday afternoon in Opp.

 

The Lady Bulldogs struck first in the top of the first when Anna Terry knocked in Anna Ballard with an RBI single.

 

The Bobcats struck back in home half of the first inning and took the lead when Maggie Short and Bailey Boyd came around to score.

 

Lady Bobcats’ starting pitcher Graci Kidd set the Lady Bulldogs down in order in the top of the second inning.

 

The Lady Bobcats took a commanding 7-1 lead in the second inning.

 

Emily Wismer, Jewel Robinson, Loryn Praytor, Peyton Brown and Short all scored in the second inning for the Lady Bobcats.

 

The Lady Bobcats capped of the game with an eight-run third inning to defeat the Lady Bulldogs 15-1.

 

Trinity Teague and Short each scored three runs in the victory. Short was also 2-for-3 from the plate and three RBIs.

 

“Real pleased with the way we played tonight,” Lady Bobcats’ coach Jimmy Reeves said. “We swung the bats really well, and our two pitchers threw the ball extremely well. That is what we are looking for them to do. This is their sixth or seventh game of the season, so they are starting to looked relaxed and settled in.”
