LBWCC picked up its first two conference wins against Wallace Community College Selma on Wednesday.

The Saints won the first game 9-5, and the second game, 6-4.

Kade Suther was the winning pitcher for game one as he pitched seven innings, gave up five hits, two runs, two walk and struck out two. K.J. Medelsohn got the save in the eighth inning.

Daruis Baldwin went 2-for-2 with two runs; Brandon Cobb went 1-for-3 with three runs and an RBI; Blake Grill went 2-for-3 with an RBI; and Mike Tedford, Trey Matherson, Houston Davenport and Quinton Maddox scored one run each for LBWCC in game one.

In game two, Houston Mabrey allowed no runs in 2.1 innings of work in the win. Josh Dewrell threw a no decision, allowing five hits, four runs, one walk and one strikeout.

Matherson went 2-for-4 with a double, and Josh Flowers had two RBIs.

LBW improves to 12-6, and will travel to Selma on Saturday for another conference doubleheader.
