Opp defeated the Pleasant Home Eagles 5-1 Monday in middle school baseball action at PHS.

Peyton Smith drove in the first two runs of the game for the Bobcats with a two-RBI double in the top of the third to put the Bobcats up, 2-0.

The Bobcats added to the lead in the top of the fourth when Jacob King drove in a run with a bases-loaded single.

The Bobcats picked up two more runs on an error to go up 5-0 in the top of the fourth.

The Eagles got on the scoreboard when Mason Kelley scored from third on a passed ball.

“We got some effective pitching out of Taylor Duffell,” Bobcats’ coach Chad Johnson said. “And Jacob King called a great game behind the plate. We didn’t hit the ball very well, but when we did, we ran the bases well.”
