MaryBeth Arrington and Taylor Brent Shiver were united in holy matrimony by Pastor Lee Kilpatrick on Sat., May 23, 2015, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

The rustic-elegant ceremony was held at the Edgar Barn in Opp.

The bride is the daughter of Neil and Kim Arrington of Andalusia.

She is the granddaughter of Rex and Janice Arrington and Farris and Barbara Norris of Andalusia.

The groom is the son of Phillip and Lynn Shiver of Andalusia.

He is the grandson of Aubrey and Lucille Kilpatrick and the late WD & Lillian Shiver of Opp.

The mother’s and grandmother’s corsages were made with porcelena roses, seeded eucalyptus, dusty miller and stems wrapped with natural twine. The grandfather’s boutonnieres were baby’s breath, dusty miller and stems wrapped in natural twine.

Mrs. Donna Arrington, sister-in-law of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Melita Hudson, Andrea Cox, Andrea Skipper, Marlee Bass, Courtney Thompson and Mandi Allgood. Bethany Kilpatrick served as junior bridesmaid.

Each of the bride’s attendants wore a knee length chiffon dress with a halter neckline in a lovely shade of coral.

Their bouquets were baby’s breath with stems wrapped in natural twine.

The groom’s niece, Ella Shiver, was the flower girl.

She wore an ivory lace gown and a matching headband of ivory and coral lace flowers.

With the assistance of Bethany Kilpatrick, Ella glided down the aisle in a vintage stroller from the 1950s. A mint green basket with a

burlap flower held white petals that were lightly tossed.

Mr. Phillip Shiver, father of the groom, served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Justin Shiver, Chase Arrington, Josh Wildermuth, Jeremy Wiggins, Dan Geoghagan, Chris Kelly and Blake Ramirez.

The groom, best man and groomsmen all wore tan pants with matching vests, white shirts and mint green ties. The groomsmen and best man’s boutonnieres were made with baby’s breath, dusty miller and stems wrapped in natural twine. The groom’s boutonniere had hypericum berries, dusty miller and baby’s breath with stems wrapped in natural twine.

The ring-bearer was Evan Stovall, cousin of the bride. He wore khaki shorts with a white shirt, mint green suspenders and a burlap bowtie. The ring-bearer pillow was burlap with a mint green ribbon.

The radiant bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory Queen Anne Venice lace and organza mermaid gown by Justin Alexander with a high illusion back and button closures. A satin belt in a champagne hue was wrapped around her waist and tied in a bow at the back.

The veil had a chapel length train with lace flowers along the edges.

A hair comb with rhinestones and champagne pearls adorned the top of the veil.

She carried a cluster style bouquet of white cabbage roses, peach hypericum berries, Queen Anne’s lace, seeded eucalyptus, peach Iisianthus, dusty miller and succulents tied with a natural braided cord.

She wore her mother’s gold and ivory pearl teardrop earrings and a bracelet made from the pearl necklace her mother wore during her wedding to the bride’s father.

The bracelet had a charm engraved with the couple’s wedding date and the wedding date of the bride’s parents.

Her father accompanied her dressed in tan pants, vest and jacket with a white shirt and mint green tie.

The nuptials were exchanged in front of an arbor nestled under a large shade tree. It was draped with burlap and branches of ivy, curly willow, seeded eucalyptus and peach cabbage roses.

White chairs and wooden church pews were along each side of the burlap and lace isle runner.

Wooden tree stumps lined the isle and held a white lace doily and a mint green mason jar with peach cabbage roses, white lisianthus, green fuji mums, dusty miller, seeded eucalyptus, and peach stock.

The couple along with their parents participated in a sand ceremony that was displayed on a vintage wine barrel under the arch.

The song “The Rose” was played by a string trio consisting of the mandolin, guitar and fiddle.

The song chosen was one that was also played at the wedding of the bride’s parents.

An outdoor reception followed the ceremony with tables dressed in white cloths, burlap and lace runners, assortment of jars, cans and bottles decorated in the wedding colors, twine and embellishments.

The jars, cans and bottles held a variety of white larkspur, ivy, curly willow, baby’s breath, green fuji mums, light blue delphinium, yellow solidago, peach hypericum berries, seeded eucalyptus, belles of Ireland, Queen Anne’s lace and porcelana roses.

Pictures of the couple in various types of frames were throughout the reception area.

Crochet doilies made by the bride’s great-grandmother Ethel Perdue and a white bedspread crocheted by her great-grandmother Nettie Dillard were incorporated into the decor.

The couple’s first dance was to “Make You Feel My Love” followed by the bride and her father and the groom with his mother dancing to “I Turn to You.”

The bride is a 2009 graduate of Andalusia High School, a member of the Alpha Si Nu Honor Society and a 2013 graduate of Troy University. She holds a bachelor of science in nursing degree and is an RN at the University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Mobile.

The groom is a 2009 graduate of Andalusia High School in Andalusia, and a 2014 graduate of Troy University. He holds a bachelor of science in geomatics degree and is employed with HMR Engineers and Surveyors in Daphne.

The couple visited the beautiful island of Jamaica for their honeymoon; they now reside in Fairhope.
