Mary “Dot” Burkett Adams

Mrs. Mary “Dot” Burkett Adams, 84, of Andalusia passed away Tues., Sept. 1, 2015, at Andalusia Manor.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thurs., Sept. 3, 2015, in the chapel of Keahey Funeral Home of Lockhart. The Rev. Tim Morgan will officiate. Interment will follow in the Smyrna Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 tonight, Wed., Sept. 4, in the chapel of Keahey Funeral Home of Lockhart.

Survivors include her son, Wade (Bea) Adams of Andalusia; grandchildren, Derek (Nicole) Adams of Andalusia, Melysa Bedsole of Andalusia, Stacy (Diana) McCart, and Amy (Terrell) Smith of Ariton; great-grandchildren, Hailey Adams, Cameron Adams, Cheyenne Adams, Lexy McCart, Austin McCart, Tra Bedsole, Mahayla Fry and Brooke Russell; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Wayland Adams; her parents, Lambert Bud and Faye Burkett; her brother, James Burkett; and her sister, Phylis Becton.

 

Juanita Martin Fain

Mrs. Juanita Martin Fain, age 87, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., Aug. 30, 2015, at Andalusia Regional Hospital. She was born in Andalusia on March 17, 1928.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Fri., Sept. 4, 2015, at the Keahey Funeral Home, 206 Stanley Ave., Andalusia. The Rev. Gary Miller will officiate. Interment will follow at the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thurs., Sept. 3, 2015, at Keahey Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The American Foundation for the Blind or a charitable organization of your choice.

Mrs. Fain was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Travis Martin and Nellie Beatrice Maddox Martin, and her brother, the Rev. Ben Travis Martin.

She is survived by her husband, Hebert Augustas Fain of Andalusia; son, Jerry (Kathy) Campbell of Homosassa, Fla.; daughters, Sharon McCardell of Andalusia, and Cindy (Marty) Vreeland of Bloomfield, N.J.; grandchildren, Wendy Deans, Rachael Helton, Dawn Abbott, Shawn McCardell, and David Vreeland; great-grandchildren, Chealsea Hartmann, Alex Deans, Aiden Helton, Addison Helton, Ava Hall, and Anastasia Abbott; great-great grandchildren, Avigail Hartmann, Tristen Hartmann, Adrianna Hartmann and Robert Wigglesworth; a brother, Bill Martin of Andalusia; and her sisters, Irma Nell Riley and Margaret (Charlie) Smithwick, all of Andalusia.

 

George J. Brooks

Mr. George J. Brooks, age 89, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., Aug. 31, 2015, at his residence.

A visitation for Mr. Brooks will be held on Thurs., Sept. 3, 2015, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Phoebe Brooks of Andalusia; daughter, Cheryl Finley of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; grandsons, Mike (Kandise) Finley of Andalusia and Robert Finley of Los Angeles, Calif.; granddaughter, Michelle (Mark) Ray of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; five great-grandchildren, Kristen Finley of Andalusia, Camber Finley of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Courtney Finley of Auburn, Rilee Kennedy of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Jase Kennedy of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; and one great-great grandchild. Special caregivers are Tammy Harrison, Stephanie Kelley, and Jameka Ward.

Sara Little Mitchell

Mrs. Sara Little Mitchell, 85, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., Aug. 30, 2015, in Pensacola.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tues., Sept. 1, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Roger Lee officiating. Interment followed in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Ballard of Auburn and Tony and Debbie Ballard of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Cam Jones, David Ballard, Christopher Ballard, Jeremy Ballard, Brandon Ballard, and Ben Ballard; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mavis Cason of Andalusia and Pauline Sears of Pensacola.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Gary Ballard and Terry Ballard

Mike Bowman

Mr. Mike Bowman, 65, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., Aug. 30, 2015, in a Pensacola hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, Wed., Sept. 2, 2015, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Fred Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Judson Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Bowman, and one son, Brad Bowman, both of Andalusia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Louise Bowman; and a brother, Donnie Bowman.

Randy J. Morgan

Mr. Randy J. Morgan, 44, of Andalusia, passed away Fri., Aug. 28, 2015, in a Birmingham hospital.

Visitation was at 6 p.m. Mon., Aug. 31, at Foreman Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Dorsey; daughters Paton Morgan and Alora Morgan; son, Hunter Cauley; parents, Shirley and Edward Morgan; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Lester Ingram; brother, Michael Morgan; nephew, Austin Ingram; and niece, Leslie Ingram.

David William Harrelson

Mr. David William Harrelson, 65, of Andalusia, passed away Sat., Aug. 29, 2015, at UAB.

A graveside service for Mr. Harrelson will be held at 10 a.m. today, Wed., Sept. 2, from Gantt Cemetery with Brother Frankie McVay officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Harrelson of Andalusia; sons and daughters-in-law, Wade and Jennifer Harrelson of Andalusia and Justin and Kim Harrelson of Brantley; grandchildren, Wade Harrelson, Jr., Stuart Day, C.J. Harrelson, and Tanner Lassiter; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel Dozier and Jenny Harrelson of Andalusia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dozier and Mozelle Harrelson; brothers, Timothy Edward Harrelson and Paul Harrelson; and grandson, Timothy Jackson Lee Harrelson.
