1104-spt-WrestlingContinental Championship Wrestling comes to the Harry Hinson Kiwanis Building on Nov. 7, to put on adrenaline packed show and stomp out hunger in the process.

There will be some high-flying, hard-hitting action to help raise food for the needy.

CCW will match the cost of the food donated with discount ticket prices for non-perishable food. On ringside seating, donating $20 worth of food will cut the ticket price by $10. On general admission, donating $14 worth of food will cut the ticket price by $7. Student tickets can be discounted by $4.

“All food donated during the event will stay in Covington County and go to help those who need it,” CCW spokesperson Stacey Gale said.

Ringside tickets will be $15, general admission $12, student tickets $8 and children 5-and-under get in free.

Gale also said that there will be a chance for someone in the audience to participate and become a professional wrestler for the evening. Those interested in the chance to register must fill out a registration form at the gate. The CCW will pick up to 10 fans and then the crowd will be narrow it down to the two favorites. During intermission the two contestants will be given three one-minute rounds to display their skills. Following the three-round bout, the fans will choose their favorite. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and the winner could earn an invitation to the CCW school.

“Get there early to sign up for a chance to ring and be a professional wrestler for the night,” Gale said. “Two fans will be chosen to show off their skills on the night of the matches. Come on out and have some fun with us, and maybe your star will fall and make your dreams come true. Don’t forget, the crowd decides.”

Gale said that the gates will open up at 6:30 p.m., and that there will be a county music concert by Micaelah Gale at 7:15 p.m. Wresting matches will begin at 8:15 p.m.
