The Andalusia City League Thunder got a late bucket from Omare Latimer to give them a 33-30 victory over the Knicks on Monday night at the old Andalusia Middle School gym.

Latimer got things off to a strong start for the Thunder with 11 points in the opening period to give his team a 13-9 lead heading into the second period.

Brendon Davison picked up 7 points in the opening period for the Knicks.

In the second period, the Knicks battled back and Zacchaeus Lindsey gave them the lead after coming down with an offensive rebound.

Lindsey had 6 points in the second period to put the Thunder on top 20-18 at halftime.

Tucker Glenn got the first bucket of the third period.

The Thunder inched their way closer when Erik Mclain buried a 3-pointer to make the score 22-21.

A later layup from Davison helped give the KnicksĀ  a 28-21 lead heading into the final period.

Latimer started off the fourth period with 6-point run to make the score 28-27 with 2:56 remaining in the contest.

Ball then put the Thunder on top 29-28.

The Knicks then took the back with a layup from Davison.

Latimer, with ice in his veins, knocked down a jumper with 9.6 seconds to put the Thunder on top.

Latimer finished the night with 22 points.

Davison had 15 points for the Knicks.
