James Herbert Andrews

Mr. James Herbert Andrews, age 82, of Andalusia passed away at Andalusia Regional Hospital on April 21, 20a16.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sun., April 24, at Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Josh Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30-3 p.m. prior to services at the church.

Mr. Andrews is survived by his wife of 59 years, Era Andrews of Andalusia; sons and daughters-in-law, James Jeffery and Patricia Andrews of Atlanta, Ga., and Kendall Mark and Stormie Andrews of Tallahasse, Fla.; grandchildren, Kristen Leigh Birdsong and James David Andrews; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Felix and Helen Andrews and Ashley and Mary Ruth Godwin Andrews; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Camp, Charlotte and George Askew, Beverly and Paul Lowery, Mary and W.A. Polk, Willowdean and Grady Lynn Ralls, and Alice and Ricky Waters.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Andrews.

Pallbearers will include Jeremy Wolff, Roy Lowery, Lynn Ralls, Glenn Ralls, Brent Rathburn, and Gilbert Harden. Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of Bethany Baptist Church.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made in Mr. Andrew’s honor to Pilots For Christ, 107 Airport Rd., Monroeville, AL 36460.

Stephen Morris Presnall

Stephen Morris Presnall, age 47 of Meridian, Miss., died April 18, 2016, in Dyer, In. He was born June 17, 1968 in Jackson, Ala.

He was an industrial engineer with Sherwin-Williams Company. He was a member of Northpointe Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. He was an Eagle Scout, and avid hunter and fisherman and loved to play his guitar.

He is survived by his wife, Jenny Ruth Presnall; his mother, Becky Presnall Patton; two sons, Wesley James Presnall and Zackery Wilson Presnall; a daughter, Anne Elizabeth Presnall; his brother, David Lee Presnall; sister, Sandra Presnall Durham; two aunts, Betty Roberts and Betty Watson; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Amity Baptist Church on Sat., April 23, 2016, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. graveside service in the Amity Baptist Church Cemetery in Whatley, Ala. Dr. Bob Schwanebeck will officiate.

Rex Russell

Mr. Rex Russell, age 72, of 30260 Hammett Road, Andalusia, died Wed., April 20, 2016, at his residence.

A graveside service for Mr. Russell will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sat., April 23, 2016, at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery , Dozier, with Bro. Robert Canant officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery Fund, through the First National Bank of Dozier.

Mr. Russell is survived by his wife, Joan Hammett Russell; sons, Jessie Russell, Howard Russell, David Russell and Lamar Grissett; daughter, Jo Lynne Cox; brother, Tommie Russell; sisters, Hazel Searcy and Betty Rhodes; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Ruby Lean Parr Smith

Mrs. Ruby Lean Parr Smith, age 84, of Andalusia passed away at her residence on April 23, 2016.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Mon., April 25, at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Diane Brake Everett officiating the service; interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Foreman Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Ruby Diane Smith and Vicki S. and John Clark III all of Andalusia; sons, William Paul Smith, Jr. of Andalusia and Michael Smith of Century, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Juni Smith; grandchildren, William Paul Smith III of Andalusia, Michael Douglas Smith of Andalusia, Mandi (Dave) Morris of Andalusia, Griffin (Holly) Smith of Auburn, John (Alyson) Clark IV of New Orleans, Matthew (Shelli) Smith of Andalusia, Kellye (Kevin) Rodgers of Andalusia, and Justin (Tamara) Clark of Andalusia; 10 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; sister, Jean Pugh of Bonifay, Fla; brother, Wilton Parr of FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Lee and Lois Parr; husband, William Paul Smith, Sr.; son, Roger Dale Smith; and a sister.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to Macedonia Cemetery Fund.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
