ALICE TEETERS RODBERG

Alice was born in 1943 to Winnie Myrtice and Percy Teeters at their home in Canal Point, Fla., and this world became a better place. Anyone who met Alice was forever touched by her kindness and love. She moved away from Lake Okeechobee with her family in1953 to Greenacres, Fla., married the love of her life, Karol Rodberg in 1960, and lived in Lake Worth until 2006, then moved to Red Level, Ala. She returned to Canal Point often for family reunions and to fish on the Rim Canal. She came back to Florida to live her final days surrounded by her family and friends. She went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2016, in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

0609-obit-Alice-Teeters-RodbergAlice is survived by her devoted husband, Karol Wayne Rodberg; their children, Denise Gallo (Robert), Doug Rodberg (Jodi), DeLinda Stambaugh (James), Darin Rodberg (Trish Kinley), and Daniel Rodberg (Sarah); 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Nelson (Richard); many nieces and nephews; best friend, Eileen Conner (Gaines), and many loved ones that considered her their dear friend and second mom.

She is pre-deceased by her parents; her sisters, Elizabeth Barrington-Korpi and Janet Casper; brothers, Red Teeters, Melvin Teeters and Bill Teeters (Edna).

Alice spent her life taking care of her loved ones. She put God first and others before

herself. She was the most kind and sweetest lady you ever met.

Her viewing will take place at Tillman Funeral Home on Thurs., June 9, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. Home

Going celebration will take place at 11 a.m. on Fri., June 10, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Greenacres, 201 Swain Blvd., Greenacres, Fla. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery in Lake Worth, Fla.

 

William Lefette Barnes

Mr. William Lefette Barnes, 64, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., June 7, 2016, at the Andalusia Hospital.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thurs., June 9, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dennis Knowles officiating. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Teresa Barnes of Ozark; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Scott Hewitt of Ocala, Fla., and Jessica H. and Brandon Carr of the Carolina Community; five grandchildren, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Roy Barnes and Kent and Vickie Barnes of Andalusia.

Hazel Voncille Pate Bennett Culp

Mrs. Hazel Voncille Pate Bennett Culp, age 92, of Andalusia, passed away Mon., June 6, 2016, at Andalusia Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thurs., June 9, 2016, at New Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Cleveland Brown officiating the service. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to services at the church.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry Thomas of Paul, Ala., Brenda Lynn of Pensacola, Fla., Barbara Faye and David Maddox of Fairfield Bay, Ariz., Yvonne Bennett of McKenzie, and Wanda and Rennie Mills of Wetumpka; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Louise Pate of Florence, Ala.

She is preceded in death by her husband and the father of her children, Guy Bennett; daughter, Theresia Musgrave; granddaughter, Ann Ryan; and grandson, Curtis Grimes.

Pallbearers will include Grady McClain, Jeremy McClain, Garrett McClain, Sandy Lynn, Joshua Jackson, and Travis Pate. Honorary pallbearers are Rennie Mills and Mike Jensen.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to New Providence Baptist Church.

Ralph Tillman

Mr. Ralph Tillman, age 94, of Sanford passed away, Tues., June 7, 2016, in Bay Minette.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Fri., June 10, 2016, in the Keahey Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Shannon Stewart officiating. A eulogy will be given by his grandson, Chadd Tillman, and special music will be provided by Ed Smith. Burial will follow in Stone Lake Gardens cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Survivors include his sons, James (Janice) Tillman of Satsuma and John (Deborah) Tillman of Fairhope; a daughter, Betty Deese of Daphne; brother, Earl Tillman of Babbie; grandchildren, James (Amy) Tillman, Jr., Jeremy (Shannon) Tillman, Chadd (Meghon) Tillman, Angelia (Frank) Cumbaa, Amanda (Jeff) Elders and Stacey Brown; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

Mr. Tillman was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Merle Tillman, in 2003; granddaughter, Alaina Tillman; great-granddaughter, Brandy Cumbaa; and son-in-law, Gerald Deese.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions can be made to the Sanford Assembly of God Church.

 

Cathy Lynn Mitchell Douglas

Mrs. Cathy Lynn Mitchell Douglas, age 51, of Andalusia passed away Tues., June 7, 2016, at Andalusia Regional.

A memorial service will be held by the family at 2 p.m., Sat., June 11, 2016, at New Song Church.
