Opp’s Anita Ellis is a creative soul.
She paints, makes gourd art and now takes photographs.
Throughout the year, Ellis has been documenting a day in her life outdoors through photographs she takes.
The majority of the photos are landscapes, or flowers and insects and the like.
“I have always enjoyed taking photos of nature for as long as I can remember,” she said. “I use my photos as reference in my artwork. Last year, I became more active on Facebook and enjoyed seeing comments about my flower photos. This spring, I noticed different insects, caterpillars that were in my yard and thought more than likely folks have never seen such things.”
Ellis said that all of the photos are interesting to her.
“I find something different just about every time I go outside,” she said.
A lot of days, she picks a color and takes photographs of only things in those colors.
On Thursday, her colors were pink and chartreuse on Wednesday, she chose Opp Bobcat colors.
