“May we serve you?” could have been Sandra Bickley’s line Monday as hungry residents gathered outside the Kiwanis Center before the doors opened to the Covington County Chapter of the American Red Cross’ Taste of Covington County fundraiser. Merle Kendrick, Margaret Neese and Walt Kimbro were more than happy to sample the wares prepared by Bickley’s co-workers from Cooperative Propane. Doors to the event opened at 6 p.m., but people were lining up in the parking lot by 5:30 p.m. waiting to get a ‘Taste of Covington County.’
