The Lower Alabama Arts Coalition is calling all artists for a juried exhibition with $1,300 in cash prizes available.

The 2018 LAAC Juried Art Show will be from June 7-29.

Each artist can submit up to three works of art, in any of the following categories: acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, mixed media, sculpture/pottery, photography and drawings. The entry fee is $30.

All works must arrive ready for display with the appropriate frames, wires, bases or display cases. Each work should have sturdy wires with no saw tooth hangers or duct tape.

Artwork must be original and not used as a submission within the past year.

All work that has been on display in The Gallery will be ineligible.

Artwork has the option of being sold, at the artist’s discretion, and will not be removed from The Gallery until after June 29.

Winners will be announced at an awards reception on Thurs., June 7, at 6 p.m. in The Gallery. A $500 prize will be awarded to best in show, and $100 prizes will be awarded in each category.

Entries will be accepted from May 25- June 1, with no exceptions for late entries.

The Gallery is open Tues.-Fri., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
