The Florala Wildcats kicked off the season with a 71-27 victory over Zion Chapel on Tuesday night in Florala.

Florala came surging out of the gate and never took their foot off the gas on the way to victory.

Rashaad Coleman was lights out in the opening period as he knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and finished the first with eight points.

Mekhi James also had a hot hand with a couple of 3-pointers in the opening period.

Lee Stewart added a 3-pointer and a free throw in the first period.

Antone Stone also had four points in the opening period and Jamon Mitchell added two points.

At the end of the first period, the Wildcats were on top 24-6.

Shun White caught fire in the second period as he led the way for the Wildcats with eight points.

Coleman kept his strong night going with four points in the second period.

Mitchell also had four points to help the Wildcats take a 40-15 lead into halftime.

Coming out of halftime, the Wildcats continued their attack as they mounted a huge lead.

Coleman stayed red hot in the third period as he knocked down two more 3-pointers.

Coleman finished the third period with 10 points.

White also stayed hot in the third period as he chipped in seven points.

Zac Reese added four points in the third period.

James had three points and Stone added one point as the Wildcats took a 66-19 lead into the final period.

Florala got two points from Stewart and Stone and one point from Mitchell in the final frame.

The Wildcats held off Zion Chapel for a 71-27 victory.

Coleman led the way for the Wildcats with 22 points.

Coleman went 9-for-21 from the field including 4-for-10 from the 3-point line. He also added three rebounds, three steals and two assists.

White finished the game with 15 points.

White also finished the game with 10 rebounds five steals and two assists.

James ended the night with nine points.

James tacked on four steals, four rebounds and three assists.

Stewart came in with eight points.

Stone and Mitchell finished the game with seven points each.

Reese rounded out the scoring with four points.
