She was involved in various civic organizations through the years, but will more recently be remembered by the articles she wrote for the Florala News called “Remembering.” Jo Ann loved the outdoors and spent hours on pretty weather days on her golf cart, riding around the home property on Maddox Road, enjoying the birds, squirrels, trees, flowers…. all of nature. She kept the property mowed and clean of debris, using a zero turn mower or a Ford tractor and mower and a D.O.T. grabber.
