Vance Kelley was one of two young Covington County Farmers who received scholarships earlier this year from the Poarch Creek Indians. Kelley, who is shown with Cattlemen’s Association President Wyatt Sasser, Kelley works with his family’s cattle operation, and has three cows of his own. Lee Herring, who also received a scholarship, was participating in state competition with Straughn High School’s String Band and was unable to attend the meeting.
