Dixie Majors

Braves 6, A's 5

Despite the A's scoring three runs in the final inning, the Braves scored four runs in the final inning Thursday to take the Dixie Majors win, 6-5.

Offensively for the Braves (3-0), Andrew Phelps was 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored, Brady Newton scored two runs and Hunter Smith, Steven Lee and Daniel Nolan each scored one in the win.

For the A's (1-2), Brantley McKeown was 2-for-2 with two runs scored, Hunter Paul was 1-for-2 with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs scored, David Stephenson was 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored while Rocky Harrell and Caleb Glass each finished 1-for-3 with a double.

The Braves will take on the Nationals Monday at 8 p.m., and the A's will take on the Rangers at 6 p.m.

Rangers 13, Nationals 0

Adonis Peterson scored three runs Thursday to help lift the Rangers to victory over the Nationals, 13-0.

At the plate for the Rangers (2-1), Peterson was 1-2 with three runs scored, Kyle Nelson was 1-for-2 with a double and two runs scored, Jamie Busch was 1-for-2 with a triple and a run scored, Reco Johnson was 1-for-2 with a run scored, Terrence Whittle was 1-for-3 with two runs scored, Donald Scott scored two runs while Jerrod Lee and Ronald Scott each scored one in the win.

No batters reached base for the Nationals (0-3).

The Rangers will take on the A's Monday at 6 p.m., and the Nationals will take on the Braves at 8 p.m.

Dixie Boys

Braves 2, Red Sox 1

Nathan Branum hit two-RBI single in the final inning Thursday night to lift the Braves to over the Red Sox in Dixie Boys action, 2-1.

Offensively for the Braves (8-3), Daniel Frazier was 2-for-3 with a run scored while Stewart Moody and Eli Blackmon also each had a hit in the win.

For the Red Sox (9-2), Kevin Taylor was 2-for-3, Stephen Till was 1-for-3 with a double, Todd Burkett was 1-for-2 with a run scored while Hunter Harrell, Johnathan Scott and Rush Nimmer also each had a hit in the win.

The Braves will take on the A's Monday at 7:45 p.m., while the Red Sox will take on the Cubs at 6 p.m.

A's 17, Cubs 1

Clint Norris was 3-for-4 with four runs scored Thursday as the A's took care of the Cubs, 17-1.

At the plate for the A's (5-6), Cody Delaney, Jerome Cook and Jared Edge also each had three hits while Skylar McKeown and Caleb Parsons each had two hits.

Scott Bentley, Taylor Loftin and Dillon Frazier also each had a hit in the win.

For the Cubs (0-11), Joshua Pierce was 1-for-1 with a run scored and Mike Jackson was 1-for-2 with a double.

The A's will take on the Braves Monday at 7:45 p.m., while the Cubs will take on the Red Sox at 6 p.m.

Dixie Minors

Orioles 8, Yankees 5

Colby Booker was 3-for-3 with a double, a triple and two runs scored Thursday night as the Orioles snuck by the Yankees for the Dixie Minors victory, 8-5.

Dylan Brown and Jaquan Lewis also each had a hit for the Orioles (4-6) while Cody Harrell scored two runs and Kenny Harden, Ross Till, Melvin Hill and Lewis each scored one.

For Yankees (3-7), Cody McMeans, Cole Davis and Triston Stinson each had a hit and scored a run while Barrett Bush and Hayden Davis each scored a run.

The Orioles will take on the Braves Monday at 6 p.m., and the Yankees will take on the Red Sox at 7:30 p.m.

Braves 7, Indians 3

Dalton Weeks, Draklin Scoggins and Payton Frazier were each 1-for-1 with two runs scored Thursday night to lift the Braves over the Indians, 7-3.

Price Jones also had a hit for the Braves (9-2) while Samuel Harris scored a run.

For the Indians (2-9), Will Smith and Deaton Owens were each 1-for-2 with a run scored while Cody Parker also scored a run.

The Braves will take on the Orioles Monday at 6 p.m., and the Indians will take on the Yankees Thursday at 6 p.m.

Dixie Youth

Royals 7, Nationals 2

Demarcus Wilson, Ryan Taylor and Dustin Moorhead were each 2-for-3 with a run scored Tuesday, including a second-inning homerun by Moorhead, as the Royals toppled the Nationals in Dixie Youth action, 7-2.

Behind Wilson, Taylor and Moorhead at the plate for the Royals (5-5), Forest Luker was 1-for-2 with a run scored, Ben Presley was 1-for-3 with a run scored while Colby Mansman and Timmy Gorum each added a run in the win.

For the Nationals (3-8), Matthew Bender, David Miller, Connally Walters, Matthew Ramsey and Harper Vinson each had a hit, including a double by both Vinson and Ramsey.

The Royals will return to action Tuesday as they take on the Orioles at 7:30 p.m., and the Nationals will take on the Rangers at 6 p.m.

Rangers 4, Orioles 0

The Rangers scored four runs in extra innings Tuesday to take the win over the Orioles, 4-0.

Offensively for the Rangers (8-3), Chip Taylor, Caleb Christ, Taylor Hartley and Michael Smith each had a hit while Dylan Jones, Michael Meyers, Hartley and Smith each scored a run.

For the Orioles (5-5), Toby King was 2-for-3 and Cade Tillery was 1-for-2.

The Rangers will return to action Tuesday as they take on the Nationals at 6 p.m., and the Orioles will take on the Royals at 7:30 p.m.

Mite league

Giants 12, White Sox 11

Kyler Weeks scored three runs Thursday as the Giants squeaked by the White Sox to remain perfect in Mite league action, 12-11.

Offensively for the Giants (3-0), Weeks scored three runs, Rodney Davison and Mark Bradley each scored two and Chase Mansman, Trey Johnson, Malik Bunch, Ramon Moody and Justin Rhodes each scored one in the win.

For the White Sox (2-1), Benjamin Gafford, Mark Patterson, Brandon White and Skilar Moorer each scored two runs while Taylor Thomas, Anthony Sellers and Trevor Langford each scored one.

The Giants will take on the Pirates Thursday at 7 p.m., on Dunbar 1 while the White Sox will take on the Yankees at 6 p.m., on Dunbar 1.

Pirates 14, Mets 11

The Pirates held off a late charge by the Mets Thursday night to hold on for the win, 14-11.

At the plate for the Pirates (1-2), Tanner Cartwright scored three runs, Leo Parker, Clay Newton, Kabe Bowen and Victor Powell each scored two runs and Mason Keen, Logan Vickery and Tyler Powell each scored on run.

For the Mets (0-3), Sullivan Harold and Sidaryus Harris each scored three runs, Blake Anthony and Calvin Schofield each scored two runs and Ty Casey scored one.

The Pirates will take on the Giants Thursday at 7 p.m., on Dunbar 1 and the Mets will take on the Rangers at 6 p.m., on Dunbar 2.

Yankees 8, Rangers 6

The Yankees scored five runs in the final inning Thursday and held on for the close win over the Rangers, 8-6.

Jeffrey Tillery, Derius Mitchell and Mac Thomas each scored twice for the Yankees (2-1) while Tyriek McCall and Tristen Boutwell each scored once in the win.

For the Rangers (1-2), Luke Taylor scored twice while Tripp Richardson, Blake Burrage, Decric Owens and Cole English each scored once.

The Yankees will take on the White Sox Thursday at 6 p.m., on Dunbar 1 while the Rangers will take on the Mets at 6 p.m., on Dunbar 2.

Softball

Jr./Sr. league

Gators 14, Unbelievable 5

Although the Gators failed to score in the first inning Thursday, they scored in every other inning to take the Jr./Sr. league season-opening victory over the Unbelievable, 14-5.

Offensively for the Gators (1-0), Jenny Ballard scored three runs, Erin Taylor, Kairee Newton, Lori Fail and Flomeka McWilliams each scored two and Katie Wilson, Anna Nelson and Dakota Contrell each scored one in the win.

For the Unbelievable (0-1), Tamara Truitt, Rachel Williams, Nicole Norton, Nikia Powell and Chastidy Jenkins each scored a run.

The Gators will return to action Monday as they take on the Dolls at 7:30 p.m., and the Unbelievable will take on the Vipers at 6 p.m.

Vipers 13, Dolls 4

Abby Blackmon and Courtnee Meyers scored three runs apiece Thursday to lift the Vipers over the Dolls, 13-4.

At the plate for the Vipers (1-0), Marvia Scott and Murphy Middleton scored two runs apiece while Cory Rice, Telisha McDonald and Kathryn Sanford each scored one.

For the Dolls (0-1), Julie Scott scored two runs while Kendra Williams and Kristen Edwards each scored one.

The Vipers will return to action Monday as they take on the Unbelievable at 6 p.m., and the Dolls will take on the Gators at 7:30 p.m.

Dixie Ponytails

Red Sox 9, Angels 3

The Red Sox scored six runs in the second inning Thursday and never looked back as they took the Dixie Ponytails win over the Angels, 9-3.

Offensively for the Red Sox (3-7), Hannah Johnson, Maria Betton and Tay Peterson each scored two runs while Haley Williams, Ashley Ballard and Kristen Reaves each scored one.

For the Angels (2-8), Keonna Brown, Brandi Cofer and Bethany Nolan each scored a run.

The Red Sox will take on the Dixie Chicks Monday at 7:30 p.m., while the Angels will take on the Heat at 6 p.m.

Heat 17, Dixie Chicks 1

The Heat scored 15 runs in the second inning and batted around twice Thursday as they remained undefeated and cruised to victory over the Dixie Chicks, 17-1.

At the plate for the Heat (10-0), Taylor Merry and Daphne Moore scored three times apiece, Kasi Graham, Rebecca Dicks, Kayla Herring and Faith Kenney each scored twice and Dana Moore, Hannah Burnette and Whitney Boutwell each scored once.

For the Dixie Chicks (5-5), Jasmine Morris scored the only run.

The Heat will take on the Angels Monday at 6 p.m., while the Dixie Chicks will take on the Red Sox at 7:30 p.m.

Dixie Angels

Rebels 12, Blue Jays 11

Although the Blue Jays scored six runs in the final inning Thursday, the Rebels were able to hang on to the Dixie Angels victory to remain undefeated on the season, 12-11.

Offensively for the Rebels (10-0), Taylor King, Kindal Harrell and Taylor Waller each scored two runs while Alex Merry, Carmen Till, Katelyn Brock, Tori Simmons, Iesha Powell and Janazia Thompson each scored one.

For the Blue Jays (5-5), Takira Walker scored three runs, Mary Glenn Fuller scored two and Olivia Foster, Rhiya Daniel, Renee Mayberry and Rialexus Patterson each scored one.

The Rebels will take on the Lady Tide Monday at 7:30 p.m., and the Blue Jays will take on the Yellow Jackets at 6 p.m.

Yellow Jackets 10, Lady Tide 3

The Yellow Jackets scored four runs in the first inning and six runs in the second inning Thursday to take the win over the Lady Tide, 10-3.

Offensively for the Yellow Jackets (3-7), Hannah Reaves, Breanna Cook and Ashlyn McKeown each scored two runs while Savannah Mauch, Jessica McNaughton, Tykeria Crenshaw and Mya Coleman each scored one.

For the Lady Tide (2-8), Mallory Conway, Callie Waite and Alexia Johnson each scored a run.

The Yellow Jackets will take on the Blue Jays Monday at 6 p.m., and the Lady Tide will take on the Rebels at 7:30 p.m.
