Dixie Boys

Red Sox 8, A's 1

Todd Burkett had three hits and scored three runs Tuesday to help lift the Red Sox to victory over the A's in Dixie Boys action, 8-1.

At the plate for the Red Sox (5-1), Gray Vinson was 3-for-3 with two runs scored, Hunter Harrell was 2-for-3, Nick Davis and Andrew Burleson were each 1-for-1 with a double, Cody Tesmer was 1-for-3 with a double, Jonathan Scott was 1-for-4 and Rush Nimmer was 1-for-3 with a run scored.

For the A's (2-5), Trent Norris was 2-for-2, Jared Edge was 1-for-3 with a run scored, Skylar McKeown was 1-for-2 and Caleb Parsons was 1-for-3.

The Red Sox will take on the Braves Thursday at 6 p.m., and the A's will take on the Cubs at 7:45 p.m.

Braves 11, Cubs 3

Five Braves players scored two runs apiece Tuesday to hold off the Cubs, 11-3.

Offensively for the Braves (6-1), Tucker Harrell and Mitch Young were each 2-for-3 with double and two runs scored, Eli Blackmon was 2-for-3 with a double, Dalton Burns and Hunter Armstrong were each 2-for-2 with two runs scored, Levi Ray was 2-for-4 with a run scored, Jeremy McGinty was 1-for-2 with a double and two runs scored, Nathan Branum was 1-for-1 with a double and a run scored and Daniel Frazier was 1-for-1.

For the Cubs (0-7), Raymone Goldsmith, Joshua Pierce and Willie Thigpen each scored a run.

The Braves will take on the Red Sox Thursday at 6 p.m., and the Cubs will take on the A's at 7:45 p.m.

Dixie Youth

Royals 3. Rangers 0

Dustin Moorhead was 2-for-2 with a double and three runs scored Tuesday night as he helped lift the Royals to the Dixie Youth victory over the Rangers, 3-0.

Following Moorhead at the plate for the Royals (4-5) was Ryan Taylor, John Dunn and Roscoe Moorhead with a hit apiece.

For the Rangers (6-3), Wilson Lowe had the only hit with a fourth-inning single.

The Royals will return to action Tuesday as they take on the Orioles at 7:30 p.m. The Rangers will take on the Nationals at 6 p.m.

Orioles 4, Nationals 2

Andy Burns hit a three-run homerun in the third inning Tuesday as Orioles held off a late charge by the Nationals for the win, 4-2.

Offensively for the Orioles (5-4), Luke Hamm and Zach Grider each had a hit and a run scored while Toby King had a hit and Alex Garrett scored a run.

For the Nationals (3-6), Davis Crocker and James Burkett each scored a run.

The Orioles will return to action Tuesday as they take on the Royals at 7:30 p.m. The Nationals will take on the Rangers at 6 p.m.

Adult softball league

Crenshaw Flooring 13. Camellia Printing 3

Crenshaw Flooring used three runs in the fourth inning and four runs in the fifth inning Tuesday to put away Camellia Printing for the adult softball league victory, 13-3.

Offensively for Crenshaw Flooring (5-2), Van Powell was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple and three runs scored, Jason McConico was 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored, Vincent Savage was 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and a run scored, Wes Robinson was 1-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored, Cardell Rudolph was 1-for-3 with a homerun and a run scored, Ollie Scott was 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored, Rodney Davison was 1-for-3 with a run scored and Archie Parker was 1-for-3 with two runs scored.

For Camellia Printing (4-5), Justin Merry was 2-for-2 with a double while Billy Studstill and Dennis McCall were 1-for-2 with a run scored a piece, Luke Chavers and Eric Burkett were each 1-for-2 and Eric Hicks, Kyle Lee and Brandon Burnett were each 1-for-3. Chris Moore also scored a run for Camellia Printing.

Crenshaw Flooring will take on TCB's Corner Caf\u00E9 Tuesday at 8 p.m., on field 2 and Camellia Printing will take on Hwashin at 7 p.m., on field 2.

Crenshaw Flooring 13, SeJong 9

Wes Robinson was 3-for4 with four runs scored Tuesday to help catapult Crenshaw Flooring to victory over SeJong, 13-9.

At the plate for Crenshaw Flooring, Rodrick Smith and Jason McConico were each 2-for-4 with three runs scored, Tony Powell, Cardell Rudolph and Ollie Scott were each 1-for-4 with a run scored, Charles Jones and Joshua Smith each had two hits and Charlie Lowery Vincent Savage each had one.

For SeJong (2-6), Curtis Scot was 3-for-3 with three runs scored while Carlos Perdue and Ron McMeans were each 2-for-3 with a run scored, including a triple by McMeans in the seventh inning.

Ron Johnson, Bruce Crenshaw, James McMeans, Derrick Smith and Tobe Hall also each had a hit for SeJong.

SeJong will take on TCB's Corner Caf\u00E9 Tuesday at 7 p.m., on field 3 and then take on Hwashin at 8 p.m., on field 3.

TCB'S Corner Caf\u00E9 26, Hwashin 3

Every player on the TCB's Corner Caf\u00E9 roster scored a run Tuesday as they remained undefeated by cruising to victory over Hwashin, 26-3.

Offensively for TCB's Corner Caf\u00E9 (8-0), Charleston Wilson, Richard Duffell and Ryan Duncan each had four hits, James Kelly, Mike Ingram, Steven Kelley and Marvin Kittles each had three hits, Chris Stinson and Bill Conway each had two hits and Sonny Little and Luther Shrader each had one in the win.

For Hwashin (1-7), Tracy Ruffin, Leonard Ackron, Jose Rodriguez, Aaron Savage, Demetrius Bedgood, Michael Boggan and James McQueen each had a hit.

TCB's Corner Caf\u00E9 will take on SeJong Tuesday at 7 p.m., on field 3 and then take on Crenshaw Flooring at 8 p.m., on field 2. Hwashin will take on Camellia Printing Tuesday at 7 p.m., on field 2 and then take on SeJong at 8 p.m., on field 3.
