NAOS Entertainment is sponsoring a “Name That Theatre” contest for the new eight-screen movie theatre scheduled to open mid-summer of this year, according to CEO Marty Felts.
The lucky winner will receive a one-year's free movie pass, said Felts.
“We anticipate a big response,” he said.
Felt said NAOS would accept submissions until May 18. Submissions may be mailed to: NAOS Entertainment, Inc., 415 E. Commerce St., Suite 203, Greenville, AL 36037, Attn: “Name That Theatre” Contest. Rules are one entry per envelope, but there is no limit to the number of entries.
Felts also said submissions may be emailed to: name@naosentertainment.com.
He said prizes would be awarded to runners-up, as well as the Grand Prize winner.
Felts said the theatre construction itself is coming along well.
“All the walls are finished,” he said. “Everything's been going smooth. We just hope the weather continues to cooperate.”
Since the original designs, the company has incorporated two digital projectors in a pair of theaters, said Felts. The movie industry is slowly starting to make the transition to digital projectors, which offer crisper images and digital pictures don't smudge or break like traditional celluloid.
“This will enable us to do video conferencing and show 3D movies,” he said.
NAOS Entertainment is also in negotiations to build a similarly sized movie theatre in Eufaula, said Felts. He said the company is looking at other cities, but could not discuss specific locations at this time.
