Mr. and Mrs. John Bennett Coats of Prattville announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison Craig Coats of Prattville, to Charles Brightman Haigler III of Montgomery, son of Mrs. Charles Brightman Haigler Jr. and the late Charles Brightman Haigler.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Angus Rice of Prattville and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Austin Coats of Montgomery.

Miss Coats graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She received her Master's Degree in 2005 and is employed as a teacher with the Autauga County School System.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Lunsford Foster of Montgomery and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brightman Haigler of Fort Deposit.

Mr. Haigler attended Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va. He graduated from Tulane University and received his Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law. Mr. Haigler is the Chevrolet/Chrysler dealer in Greenville.

A January 27, 2007 wedding is planned at First United Methodist Church of Prattville.
