Aglow International will have its local lighthouse ministry meeting at 7 p.m. in the Georgiana Community Center on Thursday, Jan. 6. The guest speaker will be a surprise. Dawn Arnold will minister the music. Women throughout the county are invited to attend.

Greenville High School will hold an Open House from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005.

Jan. 9

The New Bethel Christian Church usher's anniversary will be held Jan. 9 at 1:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Robert Lewis, pastor of St. Francis Missionary Baptist Church.

Jan. 10

The Greenville City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the Council chambers on Monday, Jan. 10.

The County Commission will meet at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 10 in the Commission Chambers in the Butler County Courthouse Annex.

Jan. 15

REMAC (the Rural Electric Members Action Committee) will hold its first quarterly meeting of 2005 on Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Ritz Theatre in Greenville.

The meeting will begin at 10 a.m.

All members are encouraged to be present for this important meeting.

The next regular meeting of the Butler County Board of Education will be held on Thursday, Jan. 20, at 7 p.m. at the Central Office Boardroom on Administrative Drive. The public is invited.

Windwood Drive will have its &uot;tunnel of lights&uot; again this year.

The lights will be on every night until after Christmas.

The Butler County Board of Education will offer a free Substitute Teacher Training session on Monday, Jan. 3 and Tuesday, Jan. 4 from 12:30-2:30 pm at the Butler County Board of Education Office.
