Four arrested on drug charges

Four drug arrests were made at an apartment in Andalusia early Wednesday morning.

First, a city police officer recieved a call about domestic disturbance at an apartment complex on Weant Street.

He responded to the call at approximately 1:00 a.m.

Secondly, the officer noticed a vehicle illegally parked outside the apartment.

The policeman came into contact with John Elmore, 29, inside of the vehicle.

The officer smelled an odor asociated with the smell of the manufacterer of methamphetamine.

Secondly, the officer apprehended Elmore and followed him into the apartment in question.

Three other suspects, Ronnie Denny, 37; Sanchez Peacock, 25; and Destiny Swords, 20; were found inside the residence.

Upon search, the officer finally found a smoking device with metamphetamine residue.

The mouthpiece was filled with shaving cream to cover over the residue.

All four of the suspects were placed in Covington County Jail.

Each one faces three charges equal to $16,000 in bonds to post bail.

The fine is broken down as follows:

$10,000 for posession of a controlled substance, $3,000 for posession of drug paraphenalia, and $3,000 for tampering with evidence.
