The man suspected of kidnapping 11-year-old Robert Dewayne Beck

Jr. was arrested Wednesday afternoon and is now being held at Covington County Jail. The suspect, Jason

Grover Fillingim, 24, allegedly took the child from his Kinston home for a trip to an unspecified store. The two left between 9 and 9:30 a.m. Monday. At 9:30 p.m., Beck's family notified the Kinston Police Department about his disappearance.

According to Kinston Police Chief Russell Young, Fillingim was seen around noon that same day in Opp.

The FBI, ABI, Kinston Police Department, Opp Police Depart-ment, Coffee County Sheriff's Department and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children quickly converged on Kinston and an AMBER alert was issued.

Beck was returned to his family Tuesday by Mike Mose-ley and Pat Sessions of Andalusia, who were unaware the child had been declared missing. According to Moseley, Fillingim, who he had known from a past job, arrived with Beck and said he needed a place to stay for the night. The next morning, Fillingim was gone, but the boy was still there. The two returned the boy to his Kinston residence and were immediately stopped and questioned by the law enforcement agencies investigating the situation.

According to FBI Special Agent Ray Zicarelli, Beck seemed unharmed, but was taken to the hospital to be examined by a doctor just to make sure.

Fillingim has been charged with kidnapping,

breaking and entering a motor vehicle and theft of property second degree. He is being held at the Covington County Jail on a $120,000.00 bond.
