Saints split with Wallace State-Dothan

LBWCC split in conference play with Wallace State-Dothan on Tuesday afternoon at Crum Foshee Field in Andalusia.

The Saints started the day with a 11-0 loss, and then won game two of the doubleheader, 7-0.

LBWCC will visit Jefferson Davis to continue conference play on Saturday in a doubleheader. First pitch is slated for noon.

LBWCC 7, Wallace State-Dothan 0

The Saints led 1-0 after two innings and put together a six-run fourth inning in the win.

P.J. Leto led the Saints with two hits; Opp native Josh Thompson and David Carter had one hit each.

LBWCC had no hitter with an RBI in the game.

Wallace State-Dothan 11, LBWCC 0

Leto had two hits, Thompson and Carter had one hit each for LBWCC in the loss.

Wallace State scored one run each in the first and second innings, added four runs in the third, one run in the fourth and four runs in the fifth to claim the mercy-rule win.

Caleb Morris, Clayton Fenwick, Luke Davis, Jon Floyd, Joshua Correa and Michael Luing had two hits each for Wallace State.

Wallace State’s Patrick McGrady allowed four hits in 5.0 innings, walked one and had one strikeout to earn the win.
