LBWCC beats Marion Military, 71-60

LBWCC beat Marion Military 71-60 in men’s basketball action tonight in the Seth Hammett Gymnasium in Andalusia.

Tyler Sherrill led all Saints with 18 points and eight rebounds. Malcolm Snyder added 12 points, six assists and four rebounds. De’Aundre Smith chipped in 16 points. Kyser Irby had 10 points, six rebounds and six assists.

The Saints led by a slim 32-29 margin at half time.

Marion kept up with LBWCC’s speed on transition, knocking down perimeter shots during the second half.

MMI trailed 71-52, but went on a 9-0 run late to pace the latter part of the second half.

Kenny Green added seven rebounds, and Chris Daniels had five rebounds for LBWCC.

The Saints will be back in action at home against Southern Union on Sat., Dec. 1, at 4 p.m. for the afternoon cap. Women’s basketball tips off at 2 p.m.
