Opp native Gavin Free struck out 10, walked two and allowed four hits in Huntingdon’s 8-0 win over Capital on Sunday night.

Free pitched for the win in the second game of the Hawks’ weekend series. Huntingdon lost to Millsaps 9-7 in the first game.

Former LBWCC pitcher Chris Barrentine took the loss on the mound.

In relief for Free, Nathan Edwards and Neil Lawler each pitched one inning to preserve the shutout against the winless Capital baseball team.

Huntingdon returns to action tonight at Posey Field, where it will host Emory. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.
