LBWCC fell in a two-game sweep to Wallace State-Dothan Tuesday afternoon.

The Saints fell 1-0 in game one and 10-1 in game two on a wet and cold day at Crum Foshee Field in Andalusia.

In softball action, the Lady Saints fell 13-2 to Central Alabama in a single game.

The Saints had a big opportunity in the bottom of the fifth inning when Mason Rogers got an infield hit that helped send Dusty Jones to second base on a fake steal with two outs.

Jones and Rogers would move up in bases and LBWCC had Nick Bender at the plate. Bender got the count to 3-2, but struck out swinging on a low pitch.

Wallace State scored its only run in the top of the fifth on an error.

Trey Matherson, Jones and Rogers were the only Saints who had a hit with one each.

Kade Suther threw 4.2 innings and struck out five and allowed one run on two hits for the loss.

Wallace State-Dothan 10, LBWCC 1

Wallace State shot out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning, tacked on one run in the fourth, two in the fifth and four in the sixth.

The Saints scored their only run in the fourth inning in a game where they only recorded five hits.

Conner Smith (double), Brandon Mayhann, Aaron Waltman, Zach Ward and Matherson had one hit each for the Saints.

The Saints will be back in action on Saturday at Jefferson Davis Community College in Brewton for a ACCC South Conference doubleheader.
