The building that once housed East Three Notch School and now is the home to the Andalusia City Hall will mark 100 years.

This year marks a milestone for the building that now houses City Hall, and officials are asking locals to get in on the nostalgia.

A century ago, the current municipal building was erected as a school, which it remained until the early 21st Century. According to city records, the building once known as East Three Notch Street Elementary School became Andalusia city hall in 2004, following two years of major renovations. To mark the building’s history on its centennial anniversary, city officials are asking anyone who attended or worked at ESN Elementary to submit pictures or stories to be featured in this year’s homecoming events in October. Officials said those submitting pictures are asked to bring copies, because the photos will not be able to be returned.

Stephanie Moceri said submissions may be made to her or Kimberly Sasser on the third floor of city hall.

The deadline to submit stories and photographs is Mon., Sept. 1.
