Domino tournament under way in Andalusia

The rattling of the “bones,” as enthusiasts call dominoes, could be heard echoing throughout the Kiwanis Center Friday, as hundreds of players from across the country converged on Andalusia for the World Championship Domino Tournament.

Friday’s beginning to this year’s tournament saw players move on, while others’ dreams fell by the way side, and this evening the 2014 domino world champion will be named.
Double competition will begin at 8 a.m.

Tyler Hanners of Lineville, Ala., won the teen division of the 2014 World Championship Domino Tournament, and Darnell Benton of Kansas City, Kansas, won the children’s division in singles play Friday.
