The Andalusia Bulldogs (0-1) will travel to face off against B.C. Rain in Mobile tonight in their first game of region play.

The Bulldogs suffered a 50-26 loss last week against Straughn and head coach Brian Seymore said the game tonight will be “tough.”

“This is going to be a tough game and we can’t turn the ball over like we did last week,” Seymore said. “We’ve got to do a better job of blocking and tackling.”

Seymore said that in practice this week, some running backs have shown that they can cover some ground on the field.

“One of the positives I’ve seen this week is running the ball,” he said.

On defense, Seymore said that the team has been working especially hard on tackling and other aspects.

“We had some missed opportunities last week,” Seymore said. “We’re doing a breakdown of special teams, but tackling is our main concern.

“Mentally to get ready we’ve been doing repetitions to do plays over and over again,” he said. “In the region, we’re starting out zero-and-zero and we’ve got to get forward.”

Kickoff is at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile at 7 p.m.
