The Pleasant Home Eagles (3-4, 1-4 in Class 1A, Region 2) are coming off of their win last week against Kinston in the hopes to finish out their regular season on a winning note.

This Friday, the Eagles will travel to Dothan to face Providence Christian (3-4, 2-3 in Class 1A, Region 2).

Head coach Robert Bradford said this week’s game against Providence is the game to win in order to have a run at a winning season.

“It’s probably the biggest game for us in the second half of the season,” Bradford said. “We definitely need to win this game and if we win, we still get a chance at ending with a winning season and that’s the next best thing.”

On last week’s game against Kinston, Bradford said he was pleased with the game as a whole.

“We were happy with the way the game went last week,” he said. “We threw the ball real well and we think we kind of put ourselves in a chance of maybe coming out with a win this Friday.”

Bradford said at practice, the team has been working on their “identity” on the field.

“All year we’ve been struggling to find our identity,” Bradford said. “The defense has been the only place we’ve been solid on this year. On offense, we’ve struggled to balance our running and passing. But, in the last game, we were more of a 50-50 team and that has helped us.”

Kickoff at Providence Christian is at 7 p.m.
