Red Level scored five runs in the seventh inning Tuesday against Pleasant Home to pull out a 13-10 win to sweep the Eagles.

“Our hitting is getting better it seems every game,” Pleasant Home coach Bradley Stephens said. “We ended up making costly errors in the last inning which cost us the game. We are going to go back to the basics and try to iron out the wrinkles in our defense.”

Pleasant Home’s Ethan King, Josh Godwin, Colter Poole, Josh Sutton and Sid Newby helped lead the team’s hitting barrage. King was 3-for-4, Godwin was 4-for-4, Poole was 4-for-4, Sutton was 1-for-4 and Newby was 2-for-4.

Stephens added his team could be playing better, but he couldn’t complain about their hitting.

“Coach (David) Kirkland and I feel like we are not playing the best baseball right now,” he said. “But, at the same time, we are happy with our hitting to an extent.”
