Andalusia falls to Thomasville, 8-3 in area game

Andalusia scored three runs in the third inning against Thomasville in Andalusia Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to win as Thomasville scored an additional five runs to defeat the Bulldogs 8-3.
Andalusia’s Aaron Norris, Dilan Manring and Marcus Ingram came up with the only hits for the Bulldogs.
Norris was 2-for-2 with two singles; Manring had one single; and Ingram had one double.
The Bulldogs scored when Norris singled with two outs in the third inning, Ingram hit a two-run double to score two more runs and then Enzor hit a single to score Ingram.
Ingram started the game on the mound and recorded the loss for the Bulldogs. Brent Shiver came in to relieve Ingram in the fifth inning.
“We didn’t field the ball real well,” Andalusia coach Jonathan Rasberry said. “We’ve got to work on our swinging and our approach at the plate.”
Andalusia moves to 11-12, 2-2 in Class 4A, Area 3 on the season and will host Clarke County in an area game on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
