Saints take Darton College in 3 games

The No. 3-ranked Lurleen B. Wallace Community Saints continued their success this season over the weekend defeating Darton (Ga.) College in three games, 13-11, 15-9 and 18-5.

The Saints improved to a 38-8 record on the year and will host Enterprise-Ozark Community College tonight at 5 p.m.

Darton College 11

Taylor Culbreth was 3-for-4 with one run, three RBIs and two doubles; Chad Mansmann was 3-for-3 with one run, four RBIs, one double and one stolen base; Cory Reed was 2-for-4 with two runs, one RBI and one stolen base; T.J. Parks was 2-for-4 with one RBI and one stolen base; and Shane Turner was 1-for-1 with three runs, three RBIs and one home run.

Josh Dozier earned the win for the Saints, pitching 4.2 innings and allowing eight hits, four earned runs, one walk and striking out one.

Darton College 9

Parks was 2-for-3 with three runs, six RBIs and two home runs; Ryan Waltman was 3-for-4 with two runs, three RBIs, one double and one home run; Mansmann was 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI; and Jeremy Williams was 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Max Norwood earned the win for the Saints, pitching 3.2 innings and allowing three walks while striking out four.

Chris Fulford was 3-for-5 with two runs, three RBIs and two doubles; Jacob Dixon was 3-for-5 with two runs and three RBIs; Parks was 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBIs and two home runs; and Daniel Shear was 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBIs and one home run.

Aaron Elmore earned the win for the Saints, pitching 5.0 innings and allowing seven hits, three earned runs, five walks and striking out three.
