Tomorrow, the Lower Alabama Dodgers Dixie Majors baseball team will travel to Thomasville to compete in the sub-state tournament.

The Dodgers have seen recent success at tournaments during the summer.

On the Memorial Day weekend, the Dodgers defeated Opp in the finals, 4-1.

They also defeated Luverne, Greenville and Eufaula.

The team also participated in the Brewton Tournament where they swept Brewton, Atmore, Flomaton and Bonifay, Fla.

The third tournament was the district tournament in Greenville.

The Dodgers (24-3) lost the opening game, but came back to beat Luverne, Greenville, Enterprise and Zion Chapel. They lost the first game to Opp, 6-4, but beat them 12-3 in the final game of the tournament, which gave them a ticket to the sub-state tournament.

The Dodgers will face the winner of District 5 Friday at 1 p.m. in a five-team round robin tournament that will last until Sunday.
