Red Level falls to Flomaton

Red Level had one too many turnovers Friday night and fell to Flomaton 38-6 on the road.
Flomaton took the opening kick and returned it to the nine-yard line. The Tigers took over when Flomaton fumbled the ball.
Red Level took the ball over and on a third-and-15 play from the Flomaton 31-yard line,, when Jonathan Neal was intercepted by Flomaton.
Four plays later, Flomaton scored on a 33-yard touchdown pass with 4:15 left in the first quarter.
On the first play in the second quarter, Flomaton scored again on a 14-yard touchdown run.
On their own kick off, Flomaton recovered its onside kick and then scored on a seven-yard run with 9:29 left in the first half.
Later in the second quarter, Red Level fumbled again and Flomaton took advantage and scored at the 6:50 mark in the second quarter.
The second half started just like the first half and on the first kick off, Flomaton recovered another onside kick.
On the third play from scrimmage, they scored on a 44-yard run.
Flomaton’s last score came with 6:17 left in the third on a 42-yard pass.
Red Level scored its only touchdown with 5:16 left in the fourth on a six-yard touchdown run from Desmond Jones, who finished the game with 17 carries for 81 yards and one touchdown.
Red Level moves to 1-1, 0-1 in Class 2A, Region 1 play and will host Excel next Friday night continuing region play.
