The Opp Lady Bobcats came in second place at the Class 4A, Area 2 tournament at St. James on Tuesday night, defeating Ashford 3-2 in the first match and then losing to St. James in the second match, 3-0.

“With the Ashford match, we could’ve played a little better,” Opp coach Christie Spurlin said. “When we played St. James, everybody did their best. I couldn’t have asked anything better for them against St. James.”

The Lady Bobcats will play UMS-Wright on Saturday morning at the Class 4A Regional A tournament at 11:15 a.m. at No. 5 UMS-Wright.
