Andalusia’s Jamal Curry made a lay up with five seconds left in the game to edge Dothan on Tuesday evening, 54-53.

The Bulldogs led by 14 points in the fourth quarter, but Dothan came back with a lot of pressure, Andalusia coach Richard Robertson said.

“We lost our composure and made some poor decisions,” he said. “My goal is to find a plan and do all it takes to be a good basketball team.”

Quayshaun Denson and O’Brien Curry led with 13 points apiece and Jacard Townsend added 12 points. Curry had nine points in the win.

Next week, Andalusia (3-1) will host Monroe County, Pleasant Home and Opp to continue the regular season.

“The thing that is imperative is that we play well and play by our plan,” Robertson said. “If we do that, we’ll be all right.”
