RLS boys win, girls lose

Red Level started its tournament on the right track Monday night, defeating Goshen 68-46.

The Tigers opened their 12th annual Christmas Invitational tournament on a slow start in the first half, but quickly picked up momentum outscoring Goshen 16-12 after the third quarter and 17-15 in the fourth.

Three Red Level players ended in double figures Monday night.

Trey Salter led with 18 points and Troy Nolen and Tyler Paulk had 13 apiece.

The Tigers will face Highland Home at 7:30 Tuesday night.

Highland Home girls 35, Red Level girls 32

Highland Home’s Jenna Dorman led with 13 points and Cornika Gipson added seven to help lead their team to the three-point win.

In her first game of the season, Red Level’s Lania Paulk led with 13 and Zonia Bullock had seven.

The Lady Tigers will play Elba at noon on Tuesday.
