Andalusia’s Lady Bulldogs mounted an offensive attack over the Lady Jaguars, allowing an opportunity for every player on the bench to get some playing time in a 54-26 win Tuesday night.

“Everybody got some playing time,” Andalusia coach Bennie Shellhouse said. “We had a great opportunity to let our younger players get some playing time and to work on half-court offense.”

The Lady Bulldogs led 17-8 after the first quarter and 35-17 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Andalusia added eight points compared to Hillcrest’s seven to lead 43-24.

In the fourth quarter, the Lady Bulldogs added 11 points compared to Hillcrest’s two to get the win.

They improve to 12-4, 2-0 in Class 4A, Area 3.

Andalusia’s Taneshia Reed led with 13 points and Shi’Amber Townsend had 12.

Hillcrest’s Kadesha Reynolds chipped in nine for her team.
