The Pleasant Home Eagles 26-23 on homecoming night to McKenzie last Friday.
“It was ugly, but at the same time we did a lot of good stuff,” Pleasant Home coach Jerry Davis said. “McKenzie spread the floor on us.”
Davis said the difference in the game was his team’s shooting percentage.
“We were 9-of-34 from the field,” he said. “We just did not shoot the ball well — we got the shots. I felt like we got better shots than them.”
Two of Pleasant Home’s injured players — Blake Herman and Cody Taylor — are recovering from their ailments and should be back on the court soon, Davis said.
“We had opportunities to win the ball game,” Davis said. “When you have two players on the bench, it makes these games tough.
“Maybe we’ll have a ball game where we are all healthy,” he said.
The Eagles are 14-6 overall, and 3-1 in Class 1A, Area 3.
Pleasant Home will be on the road tonight to play Florala.
