The Pleasant Home Eagles lost on the road Thursday night 56-54 in overtime to Excel.

Cedric Stevens led Excel with 27 points.

“The game didn’t go well,” Pleasant Home coach Jerry Davis said.

Thursday night’s loss is the third straight for the Eagles. Their next game is against W.S. Neal on Monday night.

Davis said the team didn’t play a complete game.

“We lost an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter,” he said. “Simply put, we didn’t sustain it. Excel got hot, and we didn’t get it done. We’re not doing the stuff we need to be able to do pretty quick with the area tournament coming next week.”

Ethan King led Pleasant Home with 13 points.

The Eagles fall to 16-9 this season.
