The Andalusia Bulldogs lost to Charles Henderson in Troy Tuesday night, 11-0.
This is the fifth straight loss for Andalusia so far this season.
“Charles Henderson just has a good team,” Andalusia coach Jonathan Rasberry said.
Asked how his team will get over the slump at the beginning of the season, Rasberry said
“A lot of it is credit to that we have to play together as a team,” he said. “Right now, we’re making too many mistakes as a team and that’s what’s killing us.”
Rasberry said the team has to make the “routine” plays.
“That’s a part of baseball and you can’t give up,” he said. “I told these guys that I’d rather go 11-20 and make it to the third round of the playoffs rather than go 20-6 and not make the playoffs at all. That’s the whole point of the schedule we’re playing.”
In junior varsity action, Andalusia lost 3-2.
