Eagles hand Straughn 1st loss on Saturday

Pleasant Home handed Straughn its first loss with a 9-7 win in the first game, but fell 10-3 in the second.
“We played really well,” Pleasant Home coach Bradley Stephens said about the games Saturday.
Colter Poole earned the win for the Eagles and Fernando Torres got his fifth save of the season.
“In the second game, we played well until the sixth inning,” Stephens said. “We had quite a few errors that put us out of the game.”
On Monday night, Pleasant Home split wins with Florala.
The Wildcats beat Pleasant Home 4-2 in the first game and lost 12-2 in the second.
The Eagles move to 8-5 overall, and 1-0 in Class 1A, Area 2.
Over the weekend, the Eagles also split in a doubleheader against Straughn.
