Greenville swept Andalusia Monday night in a doubleheader.
The Bulldogs lost the first game 5-4 and then the second game, 7-4.
Andalusia went ahead 4-1 and with two outs in the seventh inning, committed three errors, walked three batters to enable Greenville to come out with the win.
Greenville only had one hit in the seventh inning.
Andalusia coach Jonathan Rasberry said the second game came down to one person.
“The big thing in that game is that we had one person that showed up,” he said. “Zack Ward hit two home runs and he had a really good game. He pitched well.”
In the first game, Aaron Norris pitched 6.1 innings.
Saturday, the Bulldogs (13-18, 4-2 in Class 4A, Area 3) split with area opponent Thomasville in two games.
Andalusia lost the first game 8-7, but bounced back to win the second, 19-11.
“We hit the ball pretty well (in the second game) and capitalized on a couple of errors,” Rasberry said. “Right now, we have to win both games against Clarke County to make the playoffs.
“If we split, then we don’t go to the playoffs,” he said.
Andalusia will play Clarke County in Grove Hill on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and then will host Clarke County on Friday at 4 p.m.
