Bulldogs beat Greenville

The Andalusia boys tennis team defeated Greenville Monday 8-1, and the girls lost 8-6.

In boys singles action, the Bulldogs won 5-1.

Andalusia’s Jake Ricardy defeated Greenville’s Mitchell Young 8-5; Greenville’s Will Corley def. Andalusia’s Mitchell Clark 8-3; Andalusia’s Mayur Patel def. Greenville’s David Black 8-3; Andalusia’s Chris Smith def. Greenville’s Ethan Dugan 8-3; Andalusia’s Alex Evans def. Greenville’s Andrew James 8-1; and Andalusia’s Jackson Moore def. Greenville’s Nathaniel Godwin 8-3.

In doubles action, the Bulldogs had a clean slate, winning 3-0.

Andalusia’s Ricardy and Clark def. Greenville’s Young and Black 8-5; Andalusia’s Patel and Smith def. Greenville’s Corley and Godwin 8-1; and Andalusia’s Evans and Moore def. Greenville’s Dugan and James 8-3.

The girls won in No. 1 doubles as Aubry Boyington and Tally Morrow won 8-6.

Maggie Jones earned the only win in singles for the Lady Bulldogs. She won her match 8-0.
