The 15th annual Alligator Trot 5K road race and walk took place Saturday in Florala at the state park.

The USATF Certified course is asphalt, rolling terrain. The run begins at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and 3rd Street. Runners and walkers proceeded around Lake Jackson into Florida and back into Alabama finishing at 916 Lake Drive.

Competitors were split up into different age groups ranging in age from 9-and-under to 60-and-older.

The 2010 overall male and female winners were Matthew Dobson and Connie Robertson. Dobson and Robertson were the 2009 overall winners as well.

Dobson finished with a time of 16 minutes, 44 seconds, and Robertson finished with a time of 20:25.
